Pay Me a Visit
Student loans, pay me a visit
I'm as broke as an abandoned heart
As the thought of leaving without your hand
To a city where the mountains are far
To walk the life of a movie star.
It's been my experience
That I cannot get what I want
Without praying to my restless dad
Who watches over me from the sky
Fearing I've lost reality's grasp.
With your help I'll buy a drink
Eat Hot Pockets and smoke cheap weed
Watch some Netflix and call my mom
Tell her: It's over! while she cries adis
I'll leave her, this island, and my soul.
So, student loans, pay me a visit
To drop out of this unwanted business
My school, my guy, my stillness
And move somewhere better fitted
For scared youth who dreams of bigness.
