Peace in the surf

There's peace in those waves that surf away my fears

And then those gentle hands wipe away my tears

Stay with me as I lie in this twilight
Thinking of those memories deep into the night

And then when the sun softly breaks dawn, disappear away from where you're born

And bring back light every night and shine, like the moon on a starless night and shine

Away from my origins
Burning steadily with my sins

In this mourning sighing world
I run away from my shrills

And then you smile and hide my pain, you wash it ashore and inside the cane.

There's peace in those waves that surf away my fears

And then those gentle hands again wipe my tears.
