Peace of Mine

Quietly I scream, behind the door your knocking at.
You wish to enter,to make yourself at home but this house is broken.
The foundation is rotten I am unwell.
I love like no other yet I hate only myself, do you understand my conundrum.
I cry in the mirror so I know that my pain is real if you could feel the cold days and the warm nights the sky is my only home.
Freely the birds live I admire them.
My wings are broken.
Laughter brings me to a place that I hold dear it brings me to you and you and you.
I need this.
This life, this pain, this joy.
It is mine, it is me.
I can not leave no matter how long the door stays open.
I belong here.
I hide in my mind, it's easy.
Believe me.
