Peace to No Eyes

The sky is on fire
The world is shrouded with ashes
The only voices perceived are whimpers, sobs, and howls
The mercy has expired
The kindness has rotted
Our fruitless screams for help have turned into growls
How can you judge what you see
For it’s never an image of what truly takes place
It is a lie
To mute each war that aches
Wars and fights in a polluted world of hate
First the colors then the crimes they say
Making the color of our skin a determiner of our rights
No, it is not a demerit
We won’t be ashamed
The world just like a shadow will stand still as we make a change
