A place where no fighting or fussing, no screaming or shouting
At one another where tides are calm and
You can hear the wind speak to you
Saying finally, my child you have a place that you can
Come and seek the peace that is within you and
Find your inner self where you
Don't have to battle or pretend to be someone you're not
And listen to bickering and battering over
Something that's not important
Peace my child is something you need in this world to make it
Keep peace with you and with it you can't go wrong

This Poems Story

Hello, fellow readers. I'm going to enlighten you a little bit about myself and share with you what inspired me to write this poem. I'm the oldest of three children and a junior in high school. I live in a town called Kingstree, South Carolina. What inspired me to write this poem is I imagined myself sitting in a valley enduring the scenery and admiring the loneliness of the valley and meditating on myself and finding the real me I am meant to be.
