Peak

my love was a mountain.
being young, we stumbled,
even fell a few times.
those rocks we tripped on mean nothing,
we have no scars.
from the height we now reached,
the rocks look like specks of dirt.
we grew up.
tied up our hiking boots and made it.

our love was a mountain,
but we settled at the peak.
