When we held your hand. We knew it wouldn’t be long. Soon you’d be gone, with the angels singing a song. On this day you’ll no longer be in pain. Only your peace and comfort will remain. We’ll think of you each day of the year, as we drink a cold salty beer. Your memory will live within us, you’ll be our favorite topic to discuss. It’s time for the final goodbye, can’t promise we won’t cry. As we lay you beneath the dirt, it’s hard not to hurt. I know your spirit is near, you’ll always be here. in our hearts, forever with mamaw, never apart
