Pendulum

The pendulum stops for no one,
Rotting peaches on your front lawn,
Missed all along.
Drown myself in fabric,
Skinny dipping in the lake.

Big bones to fill.

Digital age,
Mystery has lost its place,
Fear we’ll all become cliches.

Brushing it off was my biggest mistake.
Take another lap,
When you used to stay.
