I am paper
You, pencil
Write me, write on me
I am begging to be marked
Just to know that air is not poison
Dreams not illusions
Our lips sung melodies
Of forever love
Why does eternity seem so short?
The wires connecting us are broken strings
I want minutes, not hours
Days not months
But you are Odysseus
I, Penelope
And so I inhale this limbo
Letting it sink
Into chalk white skin
