Perfect

You have to be perfect:
You give your soul to your work,
but your grades drop, and your stress magnifies.
You have to be perfect:
Your future is everything,
but you don't know what you want,
or how to achieve it, and it all depends on the now.
You have to be perfect:
You want to enjoy your life,
and live the way you anticipated,
but you don't know what you expected, or how to change it.
You have to be perfect:
You look to your friends to distract you,
but they all appear superior,
and it's not a competition, but, silently, it is.
You have to be perfect:
You turn to your family,
but it is divided, and they use you as a pawn,
to hurt the other side.
You have to be perfect:
You try to make peace, but you make mistakes,
and they hold grudges, and you wonder if they even love you.
You have to be perfect:
But you are not perfect, and you never will be,
so you are stuck between expectations and reality.
So you have to be perfect.
