Perished LOVE

By

There was a bird, flew in my room
Black as soot, with words of gloom
It warned me of, a love once new
That died beneath, a sky of blue
I held my head, with bitter sadness
Stared at the stars, in all it’s vastness
Then watched the bird, fly out the door
What did this mean, I was not sure
It made think, of loves now gone
And all the things, that did go wrong
I realize now, the loves that perished
We’re the things, one should have cherished
