Perseverance

I am an old baseball
I am worn out but still strong
I wonder if this game will always be the same
I hear a loud WHAK now it's my turn to bat
I see home plate and won't stop tilli get there
I want to keep playing, and will not be dismayed
I am worn out but still strong

I pretend that I am free like the birds as they soar
I feel the sun on my skin as is warms my core
I touch the tired twine as I prepare my self to fly
I worry when the sun goes away and turns my blue sky gray
I cry becuase I might loose my passion and not play the next day
I am worn out but still strong

I understand that my journey will not be easy
I say i can do anything
I dream of being united with those who have left there mark on me
I strive to reach the stars
I hope for the best
I am worn out but still strong
