Phantom Man

How many times am I forced to endure,
The same empty promises,
The same broken words,
Repeat and repeat till I'm sure,
The lies spoken from your lips are cursed,
Conjured I was by the spell like phrases,
Now I'm left tainted pleading for a cure,
The only truth that came from you was pain,
As you've left me here questioning if I'm sane,
Tired, broken and forgotten,
All endured by my motionless phases,
The songs that play I cannot listen,
As they too have been forsaken,
Ghostly conjurer you have vanished,
Leaving behind a trail of heart shed as I'm shaken,
Darkened eyes and empty soul,
Phantom you left and stole humanity.
