Pieces of me You Took

I'm so used to the water of sorrow that falls from my face that I don't notice until it hits the ground.
Its density fills my cheeks, until a puddle stops its sound.
I gaze into the liquid's emptiness, I've been waiting to just be found.
I see you everywhere I go, but you really don't want me around.
You act like you're not the straw that broke my camel's back.
You act like because I'm not around you, knowing me is something you lack.
You know I'm in pain, but you've only learned to bandage your own bleeding.
You can see my fading away, but right now your soul doesn't need my feeding.
Push me away and I tremble as my fingers fumble around your closed doors.
You say go away as I beg for your response but you say, "what for?"
You can smile at everyone but for a year you can't muster to look me in the eye.
You are so nice to everyone, but how you treat me, you'll lie.
