Pilgrims of Tranquility
Right here in the center peace has found us
While planet-shaking battles rage around us.
While cosmic conflict stirs the stars with violence
This galactic nucleus is silence.
While through the water's surface ripples pass
The very center is as clear as glass.
While tempests conjure chaos and collision
Each storm has an eye of cogent vision.
These wars may rage for all eternity
But detached from all passion, we are free.
For within this lovelessness love has found us:
Peace within peacelessness all around us.
Two pilgrims of tranquility, we seek
The mount about which revolves every fight.
We reach the battlefield upon the peak
And in the center find each other's light.
