Pink Strong

Pink strong
Cancer will kick you from behind,
Even if you're just forty-nine
With a daughter who needs you there,
At sixteen it was a big scare

With three kids who need you in their lives,
You're better than all the other wives
Three seasons came and went,
But with you there was no lament

Two weeks that's all that's left,
Until you receive two new breasts
Don't get me wrong you're a trooper,
Always smiling, always super

But now you'll see what you're made of;
Now that you are like a dove
Dig a little deeper,
You were always a keeper

Your battle is almost over;
I would consider you lucky like a four-leaf clover
I couldn't be more proud of you Mom;
In a time full of worries, you taught me how to be calm

In many ways, more than one
You will forever and always
Be pink strong
