Playfulness

Sitting looking at a picture of a merchild and a dolphin
What playfulness there is in this scene
Pushing the dolphin to go where the merchild wants,
and the dolphin playing along
The pure joy and playfulness of the scene,
brings pure joy and playfulness to my spirit
Remembering those playful days, afternoons and nights
and wondering why I have let them go

This Poems Story

I started writing poetry in my teenage years. Over time I slowed down to become a career woman, married, became a mom and so much more. I have rediscovered the joy of writing again. Most of my writing is done either early morning or late evening. It is inspired by various things and my mood. I know it comes from my spiritual side and it is a surprise at times. Enjoy this poem of playfulness and remember to play.
