Poem

Silver Lining

It’s 2AM
and I just had
an emotional break down
full of despair
i seek out for some repair
i look at myself in the mirror
and wonder if chopping my hair
would transform me into someone new
or if I should
use the smithers from this very mirror
and carve it into my existence
i glance across my room
and find my diary resting upon the table
i pick up my pen and fill pages
with sequences and strings of letters
that echo around in my head
in words i find shelter
in verses i burn free
for fate can twist
everything but not my little gift
that is when I realize
that sadness sends me to writing
and that's my silver lining.
