a fleece blanket to calm the worry needs,
my breath meets the air in a chilling way.
the sun and grass hide but the ocean feeds,
on cold temperatures for wind to play.
delicate cheeks show blood under the skin,
my lips are sealed but my eyes are awake.
to find the ethereal from within,
my reverence shows but it makes me shake.
at night it’s dreamy with colors about:
the stars twinkling with a frail undertone.
the heat said goodbye and it left with doubt,
will it come back or will it not be known?
layers of clothes to block the earth’s madness
so we don’t scream from a burning sadness.
