Portrait of Life

Portrait of Life

She paints the sky
All the colors combined
The delicate move of the brush
Dancing with the flowers so kind
She paints the trees -
Swaying in the breeze
Calling to the singsong birds
Loving their maker whom they please
She paints the oceans
With graceful tides reply
Awakening a new dawn
In beauty, life will not die
She paints the daisies
Delicate strokes of light
Streams of wisdom flow -
Make thy heartache bright
She paints the stag -
Who stops for the bird
And in wallows pray
All creatures earthly stirred
A portrait of life -
Painted in extremity
Colors of the light
Made together in amity.
