Hands forged from scarring stone;
from doorsteps pounded and gun shells blown.
Eyes sunk a little low;
adverse to contact, veering away slow.
Temper calm with a wheeze shiver;
easy answers found difficult to deliver.
Chronic tightness in ones tones;
easily spotted sitting alone.
Altered perception, altered view;
eyes of fear cause vision askew.
A quiet peace is no where found;
in silence, a constant ringing sound.
Identity lost, forgotten about;
left behind in shame, with worry and doubt.
Used as a beast for a day;
lost for tomorrow, sent sheepishly away.
