Between the iris and thine pupil lay
A ringlet of bright white
A remnant of the sunlight's love
That brightens up each night
Between raindrops on your bare chest
And these fingertips of mine
Is every secret ever told
To lovers over time
Between the days I never knew your face
And the time that we first touched
Is everything that crippled me
So with you I can stand without a crutch
Between the bud and the bloom
Between the sunset and the moon
Are the seconds of potential
That made us love so soon
