Pray Until You Touch Heaven

Pray until you touch Heaven, is what I heard you say.
"Until I touch Heaven?" But Heaven seems so far away.
Lord, I can't see, hear or touch it, from here where I stand,
yet the prayer warriors of old urge me to try knowing that I can.
They say touching Heaven a necessity must be.
Have faith and do it; prayer in sincerity is key.
Granny said, "Touching Heaven no one can truly describe,
your worries and fears diminish as God enters to operate in our lives."
Those trials that bring you down, they will still remain.
But you've touched Heaven, trust you won't approach them the same.
Pray until you touch Heaven, is what I heard you say.
"Until I touch Heaven?" Yes I do so every day.

This Poems Story

This poem inspiration stems from a life-changing conversation with my dear Aunt Thelma who on one faterful day passed down to me priceless words of wisdom from my beloved great-grandmother. In her authentic Jamaican accent, she said "Rocky, you rememba your granny? Dat Godly woman told me dat when you don't know what to do or how to do, you must pray, pray until you touch Heaven. Don't stop until you do, then watch the situation turn around." Those words saved my life and I carry them in my heart as the most precious of heirlooms, now and always.
