Pre-existing conditions

Why’d you have to listen to
Those greedy government dogs?
All they know is how to line pockets
And lie.
They told me not to wear a mask.
They told me to wear a mask.
They said its a hoax,
Tell that to the two hundred thousand dead.
And I wonder if the preexisting condition
We are all afflicted with,
Is a death sentence.
You are old and infirm
We will sacrifice you, for us.
NO please - that’s my grandma!
She taught me to read on the back of her broken dreams.
You have cancer,
Therefore you are a cancer,
We will sacrifice you, for us.
NO - that’s my father, please! He’s been though enough
We die alone in hospital beds
We are buried alone in graves
And our loved ones cry out for us
But they are strapped down to the ventilators too
