precipice of pause

As I stare into the night sky, high above
I feel little in my heart but the true love, for you
Stress'd to the point of wanting to break
I bend myself further, just for your sake.
To make your life sweeter, to show you my charms
Enveloping you, with the strength of my arms.
Your fingering my neck and twiddling my hair...
Oh how you make me desire
To do accomplish more than my share.

You may think I had it good.
's that's your clear opinion o' me.
Running' 'round in my bare feet,
As a general routine
I took my chances
Made brief glances
Til I saw my time was near.
And then I laid my net
And it was a sure bet
That there is nothing like regret.
