Pretentious Love

Blinded by the light you shined so brightly in my eyes
I should have seen right through you but you had me mesmerized
You had me wrapped in a life that I thought would all come true
But all along everything you did was to benefit you
Not a care in the world for anyone else
Every move in your "game" was for no other than yourself
Claiming you were a "Queen" allowed you to "move" as you please
Leaving me as a "pawn" at your disposal to pull the trigger and cease
