Pretty Bird Pretty Lies

I’m a pretty bird
Locked in a pretty cage
Because the voices whisper
My pretty wings are maimed
I’m a pretty bird
But I don’t feel so pretty
Because the entire world
Smudged the colors of my feathers
I’m a pretty bird
That faces no problems
Because I live in a cage
Locked away from others
The world outside is full of pretty Barbie’s
And pretty Ken’s
But I’m a pretty bird not a pretty ten
I’m a pretty bird
Without a pretty mind
The truth is ugly
That’s why they call it pretty lies
And I’m a pretty bird
So I must be a lie
Because I’m a pretty bird without a pretty mind
And I’m a pretty bird
Full of pretty lies
