Prodigy


They said she had:

—a propensity toward mental density;

—a major inability to think with alacrity.

They said she was:

—doomed to mediocrity;

—certainly not a prodigy.


And though she heard them audibly,
she thought them just an oddity
and shaped her own philosophy.
