I admit
I was anxious, underestimated, angry
I was blind, innocent, naive, idealistic
I admit
I love control, power, cunning
When told I belonged in sly Slytherin
I was afraid, confused, shocked
I was SWeet, humble, kind, honest
I pondered, wondered, thought
about why I'd be a serpent that lies in shadow
Then I realized, discovered, accepted
A serpent does not equal the shadows
Their scales glow, gleam, glitter
in the sun of Power that they so desperately crave
Desire, want, need
I admit
I want to be the best
I want to conquer, dominate, manipulate
People, Words, Forces, Elements, Nature
