Purity of Innocence

Oh how simple to be a fish.
To never know hurt.
To never wish.
To find your haven inside of a dish.
To never cry.
To never feel sorrow.
To only depend on the day of tomorrow.
To never have dreams
And have them be broken.
To never regret
The words you have spoken.
So here I sit
Full of pain.
Feeling nothing but anger and self distain.
How I wish my problems
Were gone with a swish.
Oh how simple to be a fish.
