Purple Flowers

Purple Lilacs that grow from the ground

That’s when I think of you

When your young eyes would shine

Full of joy and life, never strife

A precious child

Young and sweet

Heaven swept you off your feet

An angel grew its wings

Up there you sing

Growing purple flowers

Playing for hours

Time will pass by

Soft, like a sweet lullaby

And put me to sleep

Again may we meet

This Poems Story

When I was younger, I had a friend that was very close to me. She lived in my neighborhood and she was more like our family than our friend. Unfortunately, about five years ago, she passed away from cancer, Her favorite color was purple.
