Quarantainted

By

The sun shines on my face,
but it doesn't feel the same.
The wind blows past me,
but it doesn't feel the same.
2020 has been just another year,
but it doesn't feel the same.
Covid-19 hit like wildfire and
so did quarantine.
Locked inside our homes for our own good. We learned how to make bread,
pizza and more.
Families found time to actually spend together.
They let us return to life as normal,
but it doesn't feel the same.
Parks are now filled with families,
but it doesn't feel the same
Businesses have re-opened.
People have flowed out of their homes.
We've returned back to work.
But even with everything reopened,
It doesn't feel the same.
May we be the ones that help this feeling remain.
Life has been quarantainted
and it will never be the same.
