They stood on top of the cliff,
Where they had first kissed.
The sea roared below them
And the sky glittered upon them.
Candles; red, white, orange and yellow,
Sparkled around them.
And petals; red, white, orange and yellow,
Led the way till the cliff's end.
Where he knelt.
A ring in his hand
As he said,
"Will you marry me?"
For a moment she just stood.
Not able to comprehend,
Though she understood.
All the memories came back to her,
All those perfect moments that he spent with her.
Tears welled up in her eyes
And she did not even realize
Because all that she could think now was-
I have to say No.
