Quarantine- 2020

Yes, we are in quarantine.
Tethered to life stations
doors locked behind the COVID-19
we wonder when the life shall pick up
and be on its regular track again.
Our destinations tickets
they are running out of time.

Yes, we are in quarantine.
The pandemic came like an evil shadow
taking lives on its will
While seeking safety indoors,
we wonder where and how it began.
This invisible thing, the virus,
who inhaled and exhaled it first?
How did it spread so wide,
consume thousands of lives,
and put us behind the doors?

Yes, we are in the quarantine.
The question for all of us,
the question lingering in this sudden stop
is. “When will it end?”
