Rachael is My Name

She rode on a white horse so divine,
Looking at the world through a candle in her eye,
All the while hoping there was more to life
Than just a simple cup of coffee;

She dreams about the mountains of Spain,
That could shatter a life so ordinary and plain,
Wishing she could throw away the pain
That has lasted an eternity;

When the summer's birth is not the same,
When the clouds of fall have lost their shade,
When the spring flowers bow in a lonely shame,
When the winds of winter are feverish and insane,
She just looks to the sky as if to say,
"Rachael is my name";

With the moonlight pressed against her eyes,
She has cut all the ribbons, ropes and ties,
That kept her bound and not able to fly
Now she is finally free;

I was uncertain, but now I'm sure,
The water so dirty now seems so pure,
She found God, and I found her
And for that I am truly lucky
