Raging Ocean

In my head there is a raging ocean
Swelling waters of anxiety and emotion

You brought peace to the turbulent tide
With you my emotions could never hide

I’m weighted down by all my fears
Only able to express invisible tears

You were the only thing keeping me afloat
You were my life preserving boat

Now I’m sinking quicker than lead
I’m drowning in my own head

The deeper and deeper I sink
The more decisions I start to rethink

All I can do now is silently pray
As my conscience begins to fade away
