Rain

Diamonds sparkle as they plunge
Falling in slow motion
Until they kiss the harsh pavement
And shatter
Seconds in time
Become eternities
As I lay on the unforgiving ground
And watch life pass by around me
I am left behind
By everybody else
As I watch these priceless gems
Shine with fiery radiance
Before they fracture
And collapse
