Rain drops vs candy floss

Gloomy days,
Long lost the sun it’s rays,
Curled up slept the dog,
Came out the fog,
The rain remained a proof,
Of the candy floss seller under its roof,
Waited at home his wife,
To give their children a life,
However, his box remained unsold,
And his life out of mould,
The rain got heavier
... and the rain just got heavier
