Rain Man

I can't stand waiting in the rain
For some reason it causes discomfort in my brain

But there is a funny thing about water from the sky
Somehow people can't handle the wet and must be dry

Yet we bathe and shower almost every day or more
But then we are in control over that cleansing pour

We are completely calm in our homemade storm
Yet put me in a drizzle and watch the anxiety form

The rain brings us water for all of life's thirst
And yet it's a bother because our comfort comes first

I think we hate rain because it's out of our reach
It comes when it wants no matter what we preach

Rain is nature's reminder we don't have all the power
So let the drops fall and appreciate God's shower
