Rain: Tears from Heaven
The rain falls from the sky and trickles down my face.
The pure droplets fall from high all around my space.
Oh the tears of the clouds which stay gray,
Allowing it to cry a river for a day!
If I could make the tears of heaven stop,
I would pray: oh God, move the sun from
Behind the clouds, and allow it to stay.
Come out from the clouds, oh thou sun!
Why must you hide your glow, your glare for no reason?
Oh thou tears from heaven, you have rained down
on God's creation, With no hesitation!
Everything has ceased.
Oh, even the birds saw it coming and have flown
from south to east! Oh thou rain that fall,
Why must you rain on my parade?
Make the beautiful clear blue skies fade!
Oh the sun that once seemed bright!
Now it has gone to hide its light.
Let the birds soar, come back towards you,
And kiss your tears with their wings, for
Beautiful birds chirp with their voices and sing.
I wish, oh I wish thou beautiful bright sky,
no more dullness!
I hope for a beautiful day.
Bye, bye, for now thou dull sun;
so long for now, tears from Heaven.
