Rainy Days

By Gia Sen

Everyone is crying today
Crying for joy, sadness, crying because there's things words can't say
My tears are raindrops, watering the memories that grow
I hide my face, hoping they won't show
Water slides down glass, water drips from leaks
For once, happiness is not what I seek
I wish for rain to drown my home
So I can see what's surely grown
Beneath the rafters, under the stairs
Among the mushrooms in my hair
I hope for a gloomy summer day
Where everyone cries, and everywhere it rains
When I will surely not be the one
Whose rainy mood drives away the sun
A day where we take a moment to cry
For all that we've lived for, and all that has died
