Rare Bird

You’re a bird of a rare breed
I’d like nest with you
But fly away if you’d like
There’d be nothing I could do
I would not break your priceless wing
Or bore you with despair
You may hear a somber tweet
I’d just be letting out my air
You sing a song oh so sweet
Whatever should I do
If the song that I sing
Is not as sweet to you
I see the flock up in the sky
But none of them like you to I
They sail on much duller wings
With barren breasts
Like sirens they sing
I ruffle a feather here and there
but if not yours I just don’t care
I try to see beauty in their flights
But at the end of the day
Your all that’s in my sight
