Reach (for Yesterday's Tomorrow)

We wait for days we'll remember forever,
passing through those we're doomed to forget-
Desire's a poison we swallow, grasp with desperate glue,
A spit-out explosion on horizon that never rises, only harrows.
These that swirl will cease for nothing, maybe at Buddha's feet.
Translate us into Latin, so beautiful and dissolving.
Punch the ice and hold the ghost again.
Inspiration hides in my shadow, scared but silent;
I'd join, but they stand, still attached.
Time eases sleep for dreams won't end-
If you dream of nothing, you won't know when you wake.
