Real Home

Sold my cold knot, a heavy stone
Sold my red horse for a venture home
Seek above the skies, a glimpse of home
Beyond the stars, beyond the dark: the Father's throne

Indescribable, unbelievable, mysterious and blind
Only my faith, and faith alone, can find
"Do not be afraid," I heard
"Come, follow Me," He said
a feeling I can't deny
a feeling I must comply

Call me crazy or temporarily insane
I crave for the Word, for the Word sets me free
The road home isn't paved, the road home isn't one-way
I know nothing, but promise, His promise that in His home I can stay

The road has many obstacles, distractions from Him
But the signs are there and are never to wear
Challenges and sacrifices all undoubtably temporary
For my home, His home, like a promise-everlasting
