you were there
I swear
when I was in despair
when the night begins
and I breathe in
memories of sin
I turn away from the light
away from all the fights
away from all this worry
turning until your in my sight
It was here you held me
I was here I can recall
though hazed and blurred and faded
from myself I hide it all
searching though dark strands
blue eyes seeking mine
I wonder what it is in me
you think your going to find
with the shimmer of the moon
guiding out quick strides
the damp gleam of the streets
moves us with it's chilling breeze
Though once I had forgotten
that this place just wasn't real
your face I merely fabricated
from true I'm forced to steal
blinded by reality
tired eye opened to morning
awake my dreams evaporate
and you leave me without warning
