Recovery

She was broken
From the top of her heart to the bottom of her soul
It ripped
Every stitch that once held her hectic life together no longer
exists
It poured
The blood rushed from her body like an ocean
wave crumpling to the sand
She was hurting
Hurting from the kinda pain when you're
fighting with someone you love and someone
screams out "I don't love you anymore"
Or the kinda pain when the phone rings at 2 am
and it's the police calling to tell you your husbands dead
Her whole world stopped
She gasped for air but there wasn't any there
She kept gasping but all it seemed to do was
make it worse
It was over
The love and joy she once felt was gone
She was broken
The kinda broken where you can't recover
