Red

Her dress swirled around,
catching the light with its shimmer.
It created a rainbow on the window,
Much to the excitement of other colors.

Her dress spilled blood as she dipped,
Leaving stains on his heart,
Dripping with lasting impressions.
The blood of her family,
The thickest of bonds.

Her lips left stains,
Like her dress.
The stain from her heart,
Impressed on his cheek
As she thanked him
For her final dance.

This Poems Story

This poem represents the color red, without explicitly saying the word. It shows that people leave their marks on you, and you never know if that will be the last time you see them.
