Reflections

Where my peace lay
Where I feel the most okay
She shows me to look within
To truly see I’m not living in sin
To have been taught to fear God as a tyrant king
A judging, condemning, human like thing
This is not the true God I see
Reflecting off nature, straight back at me
For all is a mirror, a self reflection
Hating on others, a disguised self rejection
God is not outside of us, looking down from on high
But the sacred light that beams from each human eye
Human beings, cosmos and nature
One and the same, but by different nomenclature
Look to the earth, the skies and inside
It is there you will find that true love resides
