Reflections on a Sunday Morning

Reflections on a Sunday Morning
By Jo DeWitt

Summer morning on a country road.
Kelly girl, my best dog friend,
Walking ahead of me.
How does she know where I’m going?
She lives only in the moment.
See a squirrel – chase it.
Need to pee – do it.
Like someone –lick her hand.
Feel happy – wag your tail.
Kelly girl, will you be my teacher?
