Shine light in that immediate
Moment to not vanquish
Away, but soar with the phoenix
Above the land that made me the bottom
Of everything, wearing my sorrows in drapery.
A reminder to trust not a single
Soul, for they held pieces, once a single
Whole of myself, before that immediate
Storm that drowned me to the bottom
Day by day to vanquish.
I swam through the thick darkness, its drapery
Weighing me down, but I find the phoenix
Within myself, yet not your typical phoenix.
One of a kind with a single
Mind able to see behind the drapery
Of the world that shelters its immediate
Faults, capable of calamity to vanquish
All that is above, the middle and bottom
Of the bottom.
I flutter my eyes as butterflies cast a phoenix
Shadow overhead. Back from my sudden vanquish
From the physical world, the single
Breath I breathed gave me immediate
Life to carry on, and release the drapery.
